LinkedIn isn’t the only social network that helps in the job search process: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & Google+ have all been used by people to land jobs in innovative ways. Employers are taking note of the importance of social media in the recruiting process, and the majority of businesses are turning to social media to find and evaluate job candidates. MIND. BLOWN.

The Psychology of Twitter & Social Media
I do like a good infographic! Here WhiteFireSEO present the results of a recent poll they did on “Twitter psychology for marketers”. Questions included:
Why would you unfollow someone?  (Mostly, because they tweet too much.)
How much is too much? (Depends on the platform. On Twitter 36 tweets a day is the threshhold)
How do you get found on Twitter? (Mostly, because via people who mention or retweeted you, so because you are a “friend of a friend”)
What this shows once again is that people aren’t so different online or offline.
If you are interesting, funny, nice and don’t talk about yourself all the time, you attract more friends, no matter if it’s on Twitter or “real life”.
Think about that for a minute.
